11 Books You MUST Read

These are 11 books that have changed my life, and I believe you need to give them a chance.

  1. The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

This is a book you will not be able to put down. It's fiction, but her other book Lucky is kind of like her real-life version.
    (Recommended mainly for: Women)

  2. Give a Boy a Gun by Todd Strasser

This is a compilation of real-life accounts from students and teachers at the Columbine shooting. It's life changing.
    (Recommended mainly for: Anyone)

  3. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

I know this book seems overrated, but it's not. I am proud to say I read it before the publicity got a hold of it, but it's still a very, very amazing book.
(Recommended mainly for: Women, but I know many guys who enjoy it.)

  4. Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom

Mitch Albom is a genius. I have read all of his books, but this one is the most renown for a reason. It's really worth all the praise it's received, and it is definitely life altering.
(Recommended mainly for: Anyone and everyone)

  5. All Rivers Flow to the Sea by Alison McGhee

All Rivers Flow to the Sea is a heartwarming and heartbreaking novel all in one. It is a super quick read (few hours) and I would recommend everyone to read it.

  6. Choke by Chuck Palahniuk

This book has been turned into a movie, but the book is completely better. If you're in the medical field, or interested in it, this book is for you. For everyone else, Chuck is hilarious. (To the easily offended -- Beware.)

  7. Skinny Bitch by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin

This book's intention is to basically convert it's readers to be a vegetarian. If you like meat, don't read it. It's gross in a "Fast Food Nation" way. But these two chickas really know their stuff. Amazing book.

  8. PostSecret books by Frank Warren

If you haven't heard of PostSecret, go to http://postsecret.blogspot.com/ right now. People send in their secret on one side of a postcard, and Frank Warren puts all of them in a book :)

  9. Prozac Nation by Elizabeth Wurtzel

This is an amazing memoir. There are two other books that accompany it.
(Recommended mainly for: Anyone who has been affected by depression in any way)

  10. How They Met and Other Stories by David Levithan

This book is for the people out there who love love stories. This book is a great collection of them.

  11. Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech

I read this book for school in 3rd grade. If you have mother issues, this is the book for you. I'd recommend it to anyone.
